The question I always want to ask is this... obviously Mr. Beyer hasn't been around for the hundred and some odd years that drf has.

What did they use before Beyer? Was there just no such thing as speed figures (maybe I should know this but I don't. Did he come up with them or refine and improve them)?


on DRF the two numbers after the horses odds on the running line are a variety of speed figure and have been there for as long as I can remember


They are there now. They were there pre-Beyer
