When he told me my back was fractured, he also said he couldn't believe I was walking around like that and not in excruciating pain. Apparently I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I really didn't hurt all *that* much. And remember, if the Doc asks if you need something for pain,,,,SAY YES! You can always save it for next time. As anyone who rides a lot knows.....there WILL be a next time!

Thank you for that story! When I broke my knuckle riding, I didn't think it was serious because it didn't hurt much. Thank goodness my brother nagged me into seeing the doctor- I'm not sure I would have gotten full mobility back if I'd continued to ignore it. Just because I'm walking doesn't mean there's not an injury-- you're right; pain tolerance can make one ignore a lot of things. Whatever the Dr. orders, I'll take it.

I just hope she doesn't order a break from riding!
