Media was making a big thing about him transferring ownership of his house to his wife in July, tried to make a connection to the Sandusky thing, guess we know why now. Best wishes Joe, hope you can beat it, tough way to go.

This is some story. I can't get over it. When I read that he's been diagnosed with lung cancer all I could do was shake my head in disbelief.

Al Davis tried to hire him back in the late sixties too. I think it was right before he hired Madden.

yeah, paterno had several offers to leave. always turned them down to stay at happy valley. one reason i was so blown away that he'd let all that turn to ashes to protect sandusky.
but like oscar wilde said, the only normal people are the ones you don't know too well.
i would never have thought paterno would be so mercenary when it came to kids.

just saw a headline that said sandusky most likely will be remanded to jail with the two new cases coming out. good! he should never have been given such lenient bond anyway; that judge is no longer on the scene.
