The best call I have ever heard was Vic's call last year when they were having an earthquake. If you didnt get to hear the call you are missing out. This call really shows Vic's brilliance as a race caller.

One thing I love in a race call is when the announcer will say the jocks name--something like--Bailey is sitting chilly, or Solis has asked for a little more speed from the horse--this allows me to focus on what the jock might be doing.
One thing I hate is when a caller says the horses number. I think it is the guy from Charlestown that does this. He will say and the 1 horse is coming on the outside. |
