Twirling Candy’s retirement makes #TheFactor a virtual standout in the BC Dirt Mile, though he also will pre-enter the BC Sprint. Brad Free tweet from Monday, October 24. |

If the reason is simply because the great Twirling Candy retired, then his opinion loses a lot of mustard. One look at the Beyers of Trappe Shot and Jackson Bend compared to those of Twirling Candy tells you that. Actually, all this really signals is that The Factor, with but a single impressive performance in the last 6 months (over polytrack no less) sandwiched between some high profile flops, is the heir-apparent to Twirling Candy's coveted Token Overrated California Horse title. Zensational would have kicked his ass. |

Not that I expected him to win a BC race, but what happened to Coil?

I have really mixed feelings cause while I'd love to see him with a big, fat zero I do think both Thirsty and Mo have a shot...
Those two and Havre de Grace... I'm wondering if anyone else has a shot but don't see it. Not at this moment anyway... |

Flat Out doesn't have a shot? He just ate Stay Thirsty's lunch.

Fantastic Song is listed at 2-1 in the DRF. Was thinking WTF? until I realized it should have been 20-1, which makes a lot more sense.
