1st- I seriously didn't know that to own/enter a horse you had to be approved to do so by the state you plan on entering your horse in. Of course I knew this was the case for trainers. But not owners. But if the accusations are even somewhat true I'm glad for this.

2nd- the Ontario guy does kind of bring up a good point. Thus far it's all accusations. Can you really hold him back until you know (if ever?)? Interesting article, but somehow I'm siding with the way the Ontario people handled it over the NY and KY people did... Although i'd be giving the guy the stink-eye the whole time lol.

Just now catching this. Maritimer is possibly pointing to the Derby. The pesky problem of getting a Kentucky racing license might be an issue. At least I hope it will be. I know Maritimer's owner said it was too much money to walk away from, but I really couldn't let a horse go to a man like this, knowing his plan for it. Surely if a guy like Paragallo gets run out of the sport, you can't let this war criminal run a horse in the Derby. No matter what good things are going on, this loser would be the story and make us look bad as a sport. Not all publicity is good publicity.
