And excuse me, but I would be willing to put money on the fact that Kentucky has a ton more people that I would classify as "trailer trash." The state of Florida has some of the highest real estate values in the COUNTRY right now. Shiat, you'd have to pay over a hundred grand to even live in a double wide right now. I could care less... I'd live in a trailer if it meant that I could have my land and my horses. LOL Does that make me trailer trash?

and I also know the cheapest place to buy land in FLA
and that's in the Ocala-Gainesville area, and why?

Don't assume you know what Floridians are like. I have lived here my whole life. I can assure you that I do not live in a trailer, nor am I trailer trash. And no you don't know the cheapest place to buy property right now because it is not Ocala-Gainesville area.

and of course a superior horse won a bad prep....he could have won the Wood, SA Derby too. I'll leave the Bluegrass out, don't think anyone was beating Sinister Minister that day.

I can't wait until Gulfstream starts. Should be lots of 5 horse fields.

I don't think that the Florida Derby is a bad prep. What's wrong with a million dollar purse?

Granted, only Needles and Barbaro have used the Florida Derby as a prep for the KD and won since 1956, but still... I wouldn't call it a "bad prep."

and the racing is putrid, plain stinks
I know powerful ppl in FLA, horse ppl, who look to purchase land
so don't tell me I don't know FLA real estate
I'm looking at a book right now that states that Gainesville-Ocala has the cheapest housing in the state
it was written 3 years ago, however, and I know the market changes
and housing isn't the same as acreage
but...low rent housing = low-life characters (Joel C. not included)

Actually, that's incorrect. The Marion and Alachua county areas are NOT where the land is cheapest.

If you're calling me trailer, go right ahead. It has no effect on me at all... my priorities in life are evidentally different than yours, and that's fine. By the way, I don't live in a trailer. It would be nice if you researched this kind of thing BEFORE you posted.

That is why I made the Northerner comment. No one likes when people assume things based on a few people they meet that everyone is like that.

By the way, prices in Marion and Alachua counties are BOOMING right now. My parents home increased in value by 20% in a few months. No way is that the cheapest place to buy homes and land.
