Geez, I remember that Derby. I had a $20 exacta with Invisible Ink over Congaree. When the objection sign lit up my heart almost stopped. If the exacta would pay 10K or more I would have gotten back 100K.

My newlywed wife sitting next to me I didn't want to tell her what the dollar amounts were. So I just told her I had an exacta ticket and needed the winner to come down to third (with 2nd and 3rd places a nose apart there was no way they could split them so I think Monarchos would have to be placed 3rd). When it went official I cursed a little and told her we were close to winning big. I think she was thinking 5K, I couldn't tell her it was almost 100K.

Anyway, I will always remember Invisible Ink as the horse that almost won me 100K......RIP Inky

Ink was a DrugS Derby special as well.

Did he do anything as a stallion?

it's just too bad that they lost him, and at only 13. hate to see a horse leave at an early age, especially one who'd shown so much spirit and heart. i remember the whole story of the horse almost dying and the measures they took to save him.

I think in general the answer is pretty much no, but Honey Chile is a nice 3yo filly this year. She broke her maiden here last year and has hit the board in several graded stakes events in Kentucky this year.

I remember that she's an Invisible Ink because I don't recall seeing very many of them.
