No, there is no evidence that it was...of course there is a possibility that the "right people" were advised to stand down. This like other aspects of the presence of OBL in a luxury estate will come out much later if at all. I would like to give the government of Pakistan the benefit of the doubt due to the sensitive nature of the entire operation.

It is in the best interests of the US not to jump to conclusions here, ask questions...sure! Pakistan has the burden of answering how OBL could live in luxury scant miles from their capital and a mile from their military academy but it could be a matter of incompetency as easily as anything else.

the guy lying on the green plastic squirt gun is abu ahmed al-kuwaiti. he's the "courier" they tracked to find bin laden but he's much more than that. very deeply involved in terror financing. getting him alone would have been headline news.

I never said anything remotely concerned with that. You really need to stop assuming and then posting what you think people think about things they don't post about. OK sorry to group you with Somer in this case. Glad you disagree with his hope.

BTW What's amazing about the SEAL job is not one child was harmed (by us growing up locked in a compound?) and the wife was shot in the leg hopefully to knock her down and get the perfect 2 group to bin Laden's head. Would have been dead center but he made a move and the SEAL led him a little too far. IMA

the seals did a great job-the firefight didn't last much time at all; the majority of the approximate 40 mins involved was for search and seizure after the gunfight. can't help but wonder how much useful info was brought back for further investigating....hard drives, cell phones, bank records, plans. ought to be a treasure trove of info.

as for pakistan-they're doing their best to keep everyone happy. us, their citizens who hate us, their citizens who want an islamic theocracy, those who don't.....not surprised that bin laden was there, and i won't be surprised to find that some paki higher ups were helping him stay in hiding.

a masterful job; props to obama for going with the seal attack rather than the bombing that gates favored. not much info to be found and brought back when everything gets blown to kingdom come.
