![]() I see this one as a brutally uncompetitive and uninteresting betting race. I know he's not going to get the same pace setup this time - but Misrememberd looked like the best older male in the country last time out. Two starts back on dirt - he came within a neck of beating Blame in a Gr 1 at Churchill Downs. In his last synthetic try - he stayed 10fs on the pace to win a collapsing Santa Anita Handicap. Misremembered will be 2/5 in there. Double Threat has no chance even if he's somehow allowed to crawl on an easy lead. Stachys is a hopeless slowpoke. It's an interesting 3-horse race for 2nd and 3rd. |

I didn't exactly see it as a contentious race at all either.

You're all right.. I glanced while on air and totally glossed over Misremembered.

Isn't Winslow Homer a prime bet here off his dismal comeback?
I thought his pattern was one bad one, one good one, one leg fracture. Plus it's Mike Smith off. |

What's everybody's take on the G2 Fantasy Stakes on Sunday? Small field, but Arienza's going for her first stakes win, graded or otherwise, against Joyful Victory. Little bit of a typo in the DRF article. I don't expect both Ramon Dominguez and Jon Court to try to ride Arienza at the exact same time. |

Misremembered losing to this field is almost as shocking as Uncle Mo losing. I thought Borel had him too close to the fast pace hung wide.

Borel had him wide on the 1st turn purposefully to allow room for the longshot to come up and engage Winslow Homer early on so he didn't have to.
No real excuse for Misremembered. He got a nice pace setup last time with a VERY brisk 1st quarter in front of him ... today, Win Willy was better in a true run race. |
