Nobody. It's disturbing, the pattern of not paying for their horses, over time. If they can only afford to pay for X number of horses, that's what they are going to have to do. It's heartbreaking to say, "No, we can't take another horse, sorry", but you can't let them starve trying to be a do-gooder.

thats why i'm going to the farm tomorrow and feed them myself.

apples, carrots and they also like plums (if the farmers market has them)

Another article with an account from what I guess they call a "satellite" farm of TRF: http://www.examiner.com/equine-advoc...-of-their-care ReRun posted a link to it on Facebook. Of course they also posted their dismay that Mine That Bird wasn't donated to a TB retirement place at the end of his career instead of kept by his owner in New Mexico, so I suppose a grain of salt should be taken.
