Default Should I stay or should I go?

Yes, this is very intriguing field. Still trying to convince myself to drive 5-1/2 hours Saturday and see this one live. Oaklawn already announced that infield will open this week. Enjoyed a couple of Arkansas Derby days there in 1970s as college kid.

I will wait for draw... then decide?

With the Rebel having 100 horses running in it,I wonder if any trainer will call an audible and send the horse to the LA Derby instead

200 for 2nd is better than 30 for 3rd

The majority of the field is based at Oaklawn, so I doubt too many people will want to ship down to New Orleans instead. But it is surprising how deep this field is compared to the recent 3-year old preps in New York and Florida.

The draw for Saturday's $300,000 Rebel Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn Park is set for Thursday, and a full field was solidifying, thanks in large part by the arrival of two challengers from California.

A plane carrying The Factor and Sway Away, was due to arrive at Hot Springs Municipal Airport by late afternoon. Their presence ensures at least 13 horses will be in action in the major stepping-stone to the $1 million Arkansas Derby (G1) slated for April 16.

A rundown of the expected field (as of Wed. morning) can be viewed at the link below.
