That was brought up in the AZ Congresswoman in critical condition after shooting topic (page 7) but immediately argued down by a Clarence apologist.
Arizona is a state with a boiling political cauldron. Law enforcement personnel should be present at any political gathering. And because they weren't might just explain a lot of people buying guns to protect themselves because law enforcement is dropping the ball. Thought I'd help you out sorehoof in getting your topic into another rousing discussion.

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik took up the gauntlet immediately following the shooting and represented himself and his department as being in charge of law enforcement. However, he did a good bit of politcing, as well.

Well, I was thinking it and I didn't hear anyone making a big deal about it but everything is local. I think it is a big deal. Safety begins at home I guess.
