Whole thing reminds me of this commercial. Allow a bunch of Muslims to come in your country (one who's dominant culture is not acceptable to them,) and you're gunna take one in the neck. That's just reality. This 7 Bil is part of the price of ignoring that reality. |

First, the cost is $7.4 billion to supplement NY workmans compensation and to cover the responders who were not from New York. And yes - this bill is funded by taking the money from elsewhere.
Of course, more important for the GOP to give billions in estate tax breaks to 6600 wealthy families than deal with helping the heroes of 9/11. Secondly, these heros are dying of rare and severe cancers of the head, neck, nose, throat, and heart and lung disease. As young men. Those are not "normal occupational injuries" for firefighters, policemen, and ancillary workers (those that spent months at the site digging out the bodies of those who died) NY workman's comp will go beyond broke if they pay this out, so they are fighting WC claims. That isn't supported by the opinions of the doctors treating these men. The 7.4 billion would help cover these men and women's medical bills. It is appalling and shameful that the Republicans in the Senate have blocked voting on this bill (they are filibustering it, and won't even allow it on the floor to be discussed, let alone voted upon) just for political purposes. Instead of the GOP's public false outrage at the manufactured, nonsensical slight against Christianity they have made up, about working Christmas season, they should thank god that first responders don't consider working Christmas Eve and Christmas day a "slight against Christianity". GOP jagoffs. I was a paramedic for 10 years, and not one of these GOP jagoffs deserve the sacrifice any first responder would make for them or their families. Jon Stewart did his whole show on this last night, including having 4 dying NY first responders on his show. Mike Huckabee was also on to promote his children's Christmas book, and Stewart went after him, too - and Huckabee had no good answers for the GOP obstructionism, either. www.Comedycentral.com

The current Senate GOP are cutting off helping pay the medical care of these heros to politically spite a President and opposition political party they don't like. Shows exactly where the Senate GOP puts their priorities - and it happens to be exactly where Mitch McConnell has said it is, publicly - for the GOP it's political games first, helping the country a distant second. If ever.

People like you share a whole lot of the blame for 9/11. You should never forget that. How many of us would of wanted a bunch of young angry Muslim Males to be allowed to run around in our country doing whatever they damn well pleased? Not me. It's you, and now you want everyone to pay for something your stupidity helped cause. There will always be a percentage of them out to kill us. You want us to take it in the neck so we can be nice to the rest of them. I say fk you!! No more Americans should be gettin' owned just to satisfy your "everybody is 1" bullshyt!

This is an example of how g d manipulative you are. Yea, they gettin' the money from surcharges on foreign companies etc., but it's still money that belongs to the American People. It's money we could put towards other needs, or use to pay off the debt. Now, we've got to use it to pay for the damage done by people that should never have been allowed to roam around (unwatched) in our country. I'm for the bill, but we should all take note of why this was allowed to ever happen. It took place, because people like you wanted young angry male Muslims from Saudi Arabia etc. to be able to roam freely in our country. Don't duck the cost we're paying for your stupidity.

You want to blame someone for 9-11, I suggest you blame the fools that ignored the warnings. This is rather an example of how dense you are. It's a new tax (surcharges) on foreign companies, invented to pay for this - not current - and it's more than is needed, so the extra will help pay off the debt, too. And btw, this bill will pass the obstructive Senate. Public opinion has outed the GOP, and the votes are pouring in.
