Royal Delta's female family is almost all turf, but for anyone considering Biondetti at all in the Breeder's Cup, he's a 3/4 sister to the dam of this filly, Delta Princess, so the family can handle dirt apparently.

She was very impressive - although the fractions were much slower than in the male division.

It's not like she was on the lead, though. And she had trouble. The boys went faster, and those two might be pretty ok too. For a Mott to win first out like that is a big deal. . . only problem I have is that the last one he had who debuted like that came back to lose and hasn't been heard from since.

Oh, I didn't mean to knock her; I mean, what more could she do? I agree about Mott - and that's why To Honor and Serve's debut was impressive. He sure has 2 very good prospects and they couldn't be in better hands.

That family is just very good, but very turf oriented. However, when you have Empire Maker and AP Indy, you can't be surprised when they take to the dirt.
