Don't bother with the figures. They don't mean much of anything to me when I've been able to see the races for myself. I mostly only use figures in handicapping horses I haven't seen.

Well that certainly makes it tough to compare dirt and turf horses clashing heads on polytrack. Picking the best turf horses might work for a bit while their odds are still inflated but eventually more bettors will catch on and it won't be that simple.
