Nice turnout on a beautiful day at Belmont, but obviously a frustrating outcome as nothing went right. Filly generally OK post-race but was stepped on pretty badly on both sides and is cut up. Likely needs at least partial blinks next time. Not what we were hoping for, but no one was beating the winner today. Lots to look forward to yet!

Looked like the favorite, #8 collided with her coming out of the gate.

Steve, thanks for once again being a gracious host. The opportunity to have a horse running in a stakes race at Belmont Park was an incredible experience and what is starting to be a natural progression in the Dee Tee partnership. To those that shared the experience, it was a great day regardless of the result and it was great seeing all. To boot, we got to see the race in the best seats in the house.
I hope Ausable comes out great and I am confident she will prove that she belongs at this level. Thanks to Gary, Chuck and the crew and I look forward to our next start! |
