This is great in theory. The only problem is he won't be facing the Ravens defense every week.

Jets offense will hit it's stride when they get Holmes back. He'll alleviate some of the pressures that the other clown a$$ wideouts and a few stiff linemen are putting on Sanchez' shoulders. The thing they need most though, is to face a defense not named Baltimore.

That said, the offensive gameplan for MNF was a joke, at best.

You're right, that guy totally sucks. Right now, anybody but Brian Schottenheimer would be the savior.

He may not suck but a savior? He is probably the 30th best WR in football which is nice but he doesn't scare anyone.

Army calls more a more agressive passing game than Schottenheimer did monday.

Here we go. Name 29 better receivers (currently) than Santonio Holmes.

Sure the Ravens are a tough defense but the Jets were beyond bad on offense. Last season they were ranked 20th in yards per game and 17th in points scored. And the points per is overstated since they scored 37 on Cincy in the laydown game at the end of the season. They lost 2 games they should have won because they couldn't do anything on offense (Buffalo and Atlanta both at home).

When you are playing low scoring games turnovers will hurt even worse and they have to turn Sanchez loose because they cant beat many teams with 71 passing yards. Of course doing so will most likely lead to more turnovers...

Of course I am hoping the Jets continue to lose but everyone seems to forget that they were 11-8 last year and 2 of the wins were laydown games. I have a lot of respect for the defense but they are going to have to put some points on board in addition to shutting down the other team.

Let me put it another way. I'd be a lot more concerned if they lost because the defense gave up 30 points. They didn't.

Everyone knew the weak point of the Jets is their offense. It would be almost impossible for them not to improve off the first game offensively. I don't think it's possible for the unit as a whole to play worse.

The Jets only turned the ball over once on offense - the defense was there all game long - and the special teams played outstanding.

They played the Ravens to a stalemate in my eyes with the home field advantage and without their best reciever. They deserved to lose because they played a little more sloppy... but, as Denny Green would say, the Jets are who we thought they were.

I think there going to lose another hard fought home game this week - but they'll still be a factor down the stretch.
