Looks like they have to up the purses to compensate for the racing days lost during the repair of the track. Still not sure what happened to it. The obscene take out has an up side if they give some of it back to the horsemen in hefty purses....
How else do you justify.....30% tri and super take out, 26% P3's???

Looks pretty simple to me...they are averaging a $1,000,000 purse distribution over the four days. Giving away $4.2 million over 42 races in four days of racing. You know...ACTUALLY averaging 1 mil per day for four days. Note that in the condition book, it makes it very clear that horses who have started at PHA and worked at PHA are given preference over others.
