Sherriff Cogburn looks to be a nice colt for Don Von Hemel...nice debut at Arlington breaking from the rail while having to check in traffic on the turn. Then won a stakes race at a mile at Prairie Meadows looking very impressive. Could be something nice...

Stay Thirsty, who won at Saratoga today, is pretty well-regarded as the type who should stretch out.

He's pretty speedy, so despite his pedigree I'm not sure how far he'd want to go, but he's a good one. |

He'll be infinitely better going longer. I didn't think he was that impressive today, to be honest, but I'd upgrade it a little since he's not going to be a sprinter.

Stay Thirsty is a half-brother to notable plodder Andromeda's Hero and his sire Bernardini never won at less than a mile, so, no, he's not likely to be most effective as a sprinter.

Obviously you wouldn't think so; I only stated that because he's a fast horse......more precocious than most Bernardinis (except for all his turf orses in Europe, lol)

Actually, I hope that he doesn't go to the Hopeful; is that run Labor Day weekend? Seems pushing it with a horse that's bred to get better as he matures. |

Just what exactly is your problem? I suppose you have always thought that every move a trainer makes is exactly the right move? Good for you if that's the case.
