If Leparoux has a flaw it's that he's overly patient at times. Have you watched the Regret again? It's a gem from Albarado, who I know is one of your favorites.

Well, he didn't make it up to me, as I'm not following ELP (I assume that's where he ran) and I don't keep a bet back list.

I haven't watched the Regret; and I won't. It's a particular 'type' of race that never yields predictable betback results. (It's similar to the way that all the cyclists that finish with the peloton get the same final time for the race.) I do know, however, that the winner is not a horse I want back. From the looks of the chart, there's really nothing that Albarado could have done (in the conventional sense that almost all jocks ride) to win that race --- he was going to get gobbled up by the flow inevitably.

you can get a good feel of the race just from the chart, better than watching? i guess based on what the chartcaller put that the winner was simply the beneficiary of a very good trip? interesting.

I wouldn't throw out the Canadian horse. House of Grace is a terrible bet at her M/L or under. The race appears to set up for Bay to Bay regardless.

That's who I am playing. Her dam has produced some real monsters and Attfield has a lot of strong ROI angles in this spot. Hard to gather much from her turf race because she may not have beaten much, but she did it the right way.
