I sure hope so, because I've always thought that the Republicans stood on "truth".

Trust me, it won't be the first time I have been surprised, but I really don't think so. The bad is overblown, but I really feel the electorate will see through all of this, not voting based on a knee jerk reaction.

You seem to be a sensible sort, so I will respect your opinion...unless you give Kinky a shot!

If you think Rick Perry running the State of Texas again has anybody happy, even Republicans you got it wrong. Perry is running at about 32%. Kinky, Strayhorn, and the Democrat without a plan are all in the teens. That shows you how much Texas likes Perry. I will take anyone BUT Perry. So I will give Kinky a shot. It actually does not matter that much until jokes like Craddick and some other Republican idiots get the swift kick. Now if we go back to the Mark White Democrat days, I may leave the state. So many bad choices. And I really dont like being a cynic but this year is really bad in Texas. Again our best Governor since I have been alive was ANN Richards... Despite her bad taste with the silver foot in the mouth thing.

Kinky will get my vote. Desperation has set in.

Unions?

You obviously know very little about Texas my friend. There will never be Teacher strikes in Texas. We will never be paid well. I know that. Our state is near the bottom of the 50 in pay scale. I dont give a rats a ss, I like my job.

No child left behind is holding back good students. Republican idea gone crazy. And the thing I really find appealling about the Republican Party is their basic theme of personal responsibility. But OMG did they miss the boat on this theme with Education in Texas. But I am lucky I get very good students. So I stay. God help the people who have kids that really need help. This idea is working against them. Personal responsibility, the core of the Republican party... what the hell happened?

Ez you need to read more before typing. You are playing in deep right field. Behind the fence.

Pgardn,
There is really no need to bother with this one.
On the Amish thread, he claimed to read my mind and suggested I commit suicide.
Response to his pathetic posts only diminishes intelligent discourse.
btw...NCLB is another disaster courtesy of Dubbya...unless you've invested in McGraw-Hill (testing and reading texts). Does it help children learn? Hmmmm.

Man, don't tell me about Texas...been here most of my life. You may be underpaid..but, at least you state that is your choice. For every one of you that is underpaid, there are about five who are grossly overpaid...setting around, watching the clock and collecting those green checks. That's the problem with teachers as a whole...they have cashed those green checks all of there lives, and now think it is their god given right to be paid and do nothing.

As to "No Child Left Behind"...well, that is just your opinion. What ever is wrong with the school system in the State of Texas can be traced directly back to the teachers..

See, Kinky isn't the only one who doesn't believe in being politically correct.

The candidate's last name is really Kinky? I thought you were making a joke the last time you posted about him. Holy cow. Talk about a guy who had better NEVER get himself involved in any sex scandals... I can just picture the headlines...

Yeah, that photo op with Jessie and Kinky...kinda tells the whole story. What an idiot..as well whoever backs the guy (Kinky).. Give me the Demo if that what is in store....but, if either Strayhorn (the fight'n grandma) and/or Kinky gathers any support..other than the whackos... I might have to move.

Ez

PS Kinky is backed by Imus (all the way from NY City!!)... What is the over/under before Wyatt is in some kind of trouble.. He is a friggen disaster waiting to evolve..

No, I will take it as the voters have spoken... You will not hear me crying or moaning about the results. Every thing pretty much worked out here in Texas... and that is where my vote counted. As for any crow, you can stick any share you might have thought belonged to me in up your a$$..

Nothing in my a$$...had a pretty good flush a while ago. Repubs whirled away in a beautiful swirl.
Hope you get your head out of yours before the constipation causes you real damage.
Your insights have been very entertaining. Reminds me of "Three Stooges".
btw...regarding Texas...who won the seat that Delay held?

Oh Ezr*******,
Thank you so much for calling me an "ignoramus". you could have just said that you didn't know the answer without the insult.
I'll tell you in case your inabilty to do so has been demonstrated, yet again.
The winner's name is Nick Lampson. Coincidently, when Delay redistricted into his in 2003, it seems that Delay demonstrated a level of intelligence equal to your own.
Do you have any more names for me?

Rick Perry won with 39% of the vote. Kay Bailey smashed her opposition. The vote split between the democratic nobody for Governor, Strayhorn defect Rep. and Kinky Friedman. If Friedman's people had hopped over to the Democrat without a plan, Perry would have lost. Not what I would call a mandate. Perrry is without a doubt the worst governor this state has had since Bill White. Probably worse.

Best quote of the election by Kinky..."I don't negotiate with terrorists"..when Bell said the same thing.

Ezra you were the guy who thought teachers had unions in Texas. So I can see you really are in the thick of the political situation.
