well movies cost a whole lot now, and with movies going out on pay per view, dvd, and premium cable much more quicker than they used to. Its just really not worth it to go out to the movies anymore

I'm reading a book you may enjoy, Somer
"The Other Hollywood: An Oral History of the Adult Film Industry" also there's one I know you'd love~ JJ's "How to Make Love like a Porn Star" I used to be a big movie buff, but now I find myself reading even the well-reviewed films, I find to be just so-so the last great movie was Brazil's "City of God" couldn't even say the last great one to come out of the studio system it's not as bad as top 40 music however Fergie's "London Bridge" I think has to be the worst produced "hit" song ever somewhere Casey Kasem is rolling over in his grave |

I will say this.
Hollywood needs some new blood b/c the ideas have become stale and boring. like Somer said, this are some real bad movies being put out (by major studios) and Im not sure anyone is held accountable/ this has allowed the independent film moveent to grow. like Jerry says, there are alternatives now. in addition to what he said, television shows(both network and cable) have improved(now that they are getting out of the whole reality tv movement). I know this, i have not seen ANYTHING at the theatres over the last year as entertaining as House, Law and Order Criminal Intent, or the 4400. thats just sad. hollywood needs to make some changes. the black dahlia? are you freaking kidding me. even the previews could not make that movie look the least bit interesting. in addition Empire Falls was prolly one of the best movies made last year and it was on HBO.
Only movies im planning to see the remainder of the year are Borat, The Departed, that clint eastwood movie called flags of something, and Casino Royale |

agree about the quality of TV, House is a great show! You should watch Fox on Wednesday nights as well (after baseball is over) and give Bones and Justice a try! Those along with Veronica Mars are head and shoulders above most movies! If your schedule doesn't allow, you can watch entire episodes...every episode year to date...of Bones, Justice, Prison Break, and Stand Off on the computer at : http://www.myspace.com/fox
