Yeah, completely agree. Of course he did a great job with Barbaro on the dirt, so.....

He did...but I will always stand by my statement that I think he would have been better left on the grass. Granted, he won the KD, but his movement, to me, seemed better suited to the grass.

Oh well...just glad the old guy is still alive.

I don't think he would've broken down from running consistently on the grass, that's for sure.

If I had a horse prepping for the Triple Crown, it would be Fair Grounds as the route or even NY. Don't like the surfaces in CA or FL.

Talking with Mike at Saratoga this summer, I completely agree with the him in that the TC races are just too close together. F*ck tradition...we need to be more worried about the well being of these horses, and having them run as 4-5 yo's. Asking a 3YO horse to run those races is just too much, IMO. Spread them out to 4 weeks apart between each race.
