Chicago's very good, but you better hold off on all of that 72 Dolphins talk, they haven't played an AFC Team yet. They are probably 1-2 in the NFC, but not nearly as good as the best AFC teams. It's kind of like MLB, the Chumps are in the NL, but the Champs are in the AL. It's the same thing with the NFL AFC vs NFC.

Show me one AFC team that would beat them. We would beat Indy by 14, and probably be up 28 with them scoring two late TD's....we would run all over them. Who is the other, Baltimore, they wouldn't score 3 pts on us.

Good luck with that...

I heard all of this Bears chest thumping until the Bengals went in there and beat them last year at home...

Colts
Pats
Steelers

Are a few that could beat them, wouldn't be surprised to see Buffalo take them, they are good, but they beat Seattle without Alexander, not exactly something to get your blood boiling...

You could probably add:

San Diego
Denver
Ravens

To that list that could beat the Bears...

You both are crazy, there isn't a team that is as three dimensional as us, you will see, we are just quicker then everyone, at all positions

There's no one in the NFL that's heads and shoulders above anyone else, it's been a strange year. I wouldn't be surprised to see Chicago go to the Super Bowl, but they won't win. They are good, but you need to stop drinking the Kool Aid, they will not be close to undefeated, 12-4 or 11-5....

We fought about this last year and went no where, we have an easy trip to Miami. AFC is down this year, Indy/NE are brutal, Pittsburgh is still hung over. Ravens still have issues with scoring. Cincy is dangerous but we know that defense wins championships, and their is questionable at best. Denver, yeah right, Jake Plummer always finds a way to get nuts. San Diego, not with Philip Rivers, but their D is right, especially their front seven.

Right now, the Bears and Cowboys look to be the class of the NFC, Colts and Ravens looking good in the AFC...but it's early, Grossman needs to stay healthy (a problem so far) and TO needs not to red-line (who knows there?), in the AFC...Colts defense is suspect as is their running game, Ravens have been just getting by...sign of a good or lucky team? We will hear from a few other teams yet:
NFC...Giants (terrible early schedule), Redskins (offense suddenly coming to life), Sea Hawks (Alexander probably will miss just one more game), Carolina (different team with Smith back) and Philadelphia (Stallworth brings them balance)
AFC...Jacksonville (tough early schedule as well), Pittsburgh (way too soon to bury them), Cinn (everybody has an off game) and San Diego (Rivers developing fast with lots of weapons)!

You are delusional Scav. Beating the Hawks without Alexander is one thing, saying you would beat the Colts is another. And Brett Favre? Are you comparing Rex Grossman to Brett Favre? WOW!!! I don't hear you at all on this one, not even close.

i think Scav just got that snippet from Madden and Michaels about comparing Rex Grossman to Farve, hell I remember Grossman not even on the same level as Danny Wurefel

I think the point was that Grossman is a gunslinger, same as Brett...nobody was saying they compare, one is a sure HOFer, the other is trying to prove he's an NFL QB! I do think Grossman has a ton of talent and could (I did say "could") be a special QB...he suddenly has tools...a deep threat, great possession WR, excellent young TE and backs that can catch the ball!

Somer, YOUNG TE, Clark is like old in NFL years, been around for like 6-7 years I think, he was Griese's guy when he was in Denver.

Jones can catch the ball, Benson, it remains to be seen, Benson did get the ball some last night and I actually think he is going to take over the roll a little bit as long as he doesn't fumble. I was hoping to get him in the endzone last night because it would have helped him to hear the fans cheering for him. VERY sensitive in the head I think

Actually WHEN GROSSMAN was drafted. RON WOLF, the Green Bay GM at the time compared him to Favre, and that notion has been around Chicago since he was drafted. If he was 3/4's as durable as Favre, I am real happy. Favre NEVER had a defense like this one. never.

Even with Alexander too be continued, boss is right here

Even with Alexander they don't beat us. When you can get pressure with 4 D-Lineman, you are going to win alot of games, and that is what we do. Still drunk, maybe, but far from delusional. Not only are all NFC teams going to have to come through Soldier Field to get to the Super Bowl, but we will end up being teh SUPER BOWL FAVORITES when the playoffs start...INVINCABLE

Wink

Just remember ONE thing in the N F L.... any team can look like a champion one week...and then get knocked off the mountain the next week.... Heck everyone said.. the bengals are this. and the pats walk in there.. and take no names....The Dolphins of 2005 winners of the last six games... look like the worst team ...get beat by the team who DRAFTED FIRST in 2006 ? Its a shame that most teams get to be 8 -8.. and the few better and the few worse...
And as they say in the Black Hole..... >>Goooooo Raiders !!!!

As usual a very evenly matched league. This is what makes the NFL so great. But I don't think Chicago is even the best D. That goes to Baltimore who, after dominating weak teams, showed they could control a potent O when they beat San Diego. Man for man I'd take Baltimore over Chicago.

Both teams need their QB to stay healthy though. Gotta be exciting for you to have a reasonably good quarterback in Chicago. I think the last one was Sid Luckman.

Baltimore is +4.5 at Denver.

Crush it now before it goes below 3
