With ESKENDEREYA out of the Derby lineup, Churchill ML oddsmaker Mike Battaglia says LOOKIN AT LUCKY will be made the 'solid favorite' Wednesday at an estimated 3-1. Battaglia believes he will have SIDNEY'S CANDY as about a 6-1 second choice, and AWESOME ACT the 8-1 third choice.

Battaglia added he believes that should DEVIL MAY CARE run in the Derby, she would go off as no worse than 6th choice, and likely as the shortest price of the Pletcher runners...

Interesting but you will not get 6-1 on Sidney's Candy on Sat.

It's looking more likely that Jackson Bend will get in -anyone know who may ride him?

I was watching Rule and loved his last race, but it appears to have knocked him out for awhile.

Rule couldn't keep up with Mission Implazible
and I don't like Mission Implazible because I don't think he has run in a 1 1/8th prep.

FYI - I'm considering putting Paddy O'Prado in all of my bets

John,

#1. RULE started a length behind MISSION IMPAZIBLE and hit the wire less than a neck behind him. Mission outworked Rule however because Rule was working at getting to Mission while Mission was simply within himself and moving without any urging from his rider.

#2. MISSION IMPAZIBLE won the Louisiana Derby which was lengthened to 9f as part of its' new spot on the Derby Trail.

Mission Imazible looks to be coming into the week the best of the Pletcher group outside of the filly.
