I work and taxes, thanks, and there is no way in hell I'm voting for one of the six Tea Bagger and/or Libertarian ignorant idiots running for Senate in the state of Kentucky. I will vote for a Democrat before I vote for one of those fools.

Only about 20% of Americans identify with the Republican party at this point. Some of the far right has joined many in the middle and far left to call themselves "Independents".

The numbers of older, white voters continue to decline in the US, while the demographic of younger, racially and culturally diverse, continues to expand.

The United States isn't going back to the glory years of the 1850's, or the 1950's. I know some are sad about that, but wake up, it's 2010.

The Governor of Arizona is a woman, and law is created, not by Governors, but by State legislators.

Seriously - there is a reason that sixth graders have to take a class about American history, our government, the Constitution, etc. It is supposed to make them educated, involved American citizens.

Did the Texas School Board finally eliminate the basic, "How our democratic government works" information from textbooks?, too?

There seems to be a subset of people that seem unhappy with how the voting majority of the citizens of this country have demonstrated they feel, and how the majority of their fellow citizens have voted over the past 10 years in deciding who will run this country, and with what goals those majority of citizens feel this country needs to attain.

That is how a democratic republic works.

If one isn't happy with what the majority of one's fellow citizens decided to do over the past 10 years, one's recourse isn't starting state militias to defend from the feds (our Constitution says state militias are under the control of the President, btw), it isn't inciting violence against elected officials or those legally going about their business, it isn't advocating overthrow of the federal government, it isn't violating our constitutional law - it's the voting box. Have at it.
