Who ****in' cares where Gomez rides? How does where any jock rides impact on one's ability to pick (and bet) winners? Don't get paid for being a fan.

Can't wait for Monmouth to give away all that money and still watch Levine and Servis win 80% of the races.

Really smart move by Gomez. It'll be interesting if any other top jocks follow.

John Valezques' agent, Cordero said the SAME thing at the beginning of the MON meet...and WHERE did Valezquez race...NYRA.

Maybe Gomez doesn't want to compete with NY jockeys...he wasn't the "star" at Saratoga.

He still had at least 3 Grade 1 wins at the best meet in the US.

I was able to speak off hand with Gomez in July, and I asked him how he enjoyed the meet so far. He said, while he loved the area and had high hopes for the meet to go on, his comments were basically a 5,000 claimer is a 5,000 claimer regardless of the purse, so he spends more time in the jockeys room than riding.

Well obviously you don't.

I may be an exception, but I don't ever play Monmouth and don't see myself playing there this summer because they have huge purses. I don't know the track as far as handicapping goes and I don't have the time or want to risk the heartache of learning it.

I'll stick to what I know best this summer and will be watching Mth as a fan not as a player.

why do you give away "trade" secrets? thats how half of these people bet. they become a "fan" and bet their favorite horse or jock. something you'll never, ever make money on.(over time) yeah. we need gomez really bad in ny.....the only one that had more bad rides at saratoga was lezcano. he maybe the most over rated jock around. who cares where he rides....fools that bet jocks..thats who.
