Haven't had a really nice, warm Derby day since 2005. 2007 was a decent day, but 2006, 2008, and 2009 saw a reasonable amount of rain before and after the race.

It rained Oaks day in 2008, midway through the card - the day Chelokee broke down. But the sun shined mightily on Derby Day - wasn't a cloud in the sky all day...got the worst sunburn of my life. It was a great day otherwise...oh yeah, except for the fact Big Brown won and Eight Belles died.

7+ day forecasts are worthless. They couldn't even get the 12 hour forecast correct last year.....but I sure would like to sign up for that one.

About 4 days out should be 75% accurate I think. So figure by about PP draw time we will know.
