any updates on SWLY ??? - co-worker asked about her last week, our girl is still famous..

will take the date of 5/4/2010 cause way back on 5/4/1985 was helping to whelp a litter of poodle pups while listening to network coverage of the KY Derby from the tv on in the background - first pup popped out right about the time My Old Kentucky Home started playing, then Spend a Buck won, then I had to have quite a few stiff drinks because had never helped whelp pups (and never will again), quite a day lol..

Dawn Newman reports that Sumwon is getting very big and that we're starting to get close. Based on her cover, the actual 'scheduled' foal date is April 24, but Dawn says almost all of the mares are dropping 10-14 days late. Additionally and curiously, she says all the late arrivals have been colts. Dawn promises tons of pictures and perhaps video.

That was his mom's Derby Trail name and so many of us got to meet her and each other when Sumwon ran at Saratoga. I thought it would be fitting. Whatever she is called, she will be loved and adored!!

congrats on the win lol and have thought about this all day - a perfect name if it could somehow happen, a new baby brings so much to look forward to, and that's what it's all about no??
