Um, try because he was coming out of rather ordinary and non-descript races, and he received the perfect trip of perfect trips and on top of that, Conveyance folded up like a cheap suit in the stretch and Tempted to Tapit was never really much to begin with and the Louisiana Derby was further proof of that. Endorsement is more likely to finish last than finish first. At least I have 2/3rds of my last place trifecta set with Endorsement and Dean's Kitten.

Sure, I get all of that, but who is that much better? How many prep races have ended up with triple digit Beyers so far this year? Two? Aside from the top couple, the rest of the crop is just mush.
