That's what I'm wondering...what is the draw for guys like that to race there. I understand the people who have been there for years but these other guys...I don't get it. Do you think it is just to get some numbers in the win column?

I horse costs 2k a month at least to keep in training...win a 4k purse and live another month

But wouldn't it be more profitable to package a couple of those horses up for a couple thousand dollars and just sell them to one of the Beulah based trainers? Maybe they just want a win picture?

Look at the 3rd race from Beulah today where O'Neil had the winner. I can't believe the O'Neil horse paid $3.80 against that field.

Trainer of the 2 is 1/38 at BEU
Trainer of the 3 is 1/35 at BEU
Trainer of the 4 is 1/19 at BEU
Trainer of the 5 is 4/125 at BEU

I think they just want to boost the win%. Same thing Clement does every summer at Suffolk except Suffolk is like Keeneland compared to Beulah

I dont know why else O neill would do it. Seems like he owns most of the horses as well.
