Good.

Let's see if any tracks let him back into the sport in the future.

It doesn't mention whether he is allowed to own animals again in NY or not - I suspect there is no ruling prohibiting him from going right back out and purchasing all the TB horses he wants, and getting right back into the breeding business.

Ironic that this is the ass clown who owns half of Unsound Song and continues to decimate the breed with his offspring.

$33,000 is pocket change for this man. So his lawyer will try to reduce his time .

That's 1/3 of Unbridled's Song's published stud fee.

I don't think so. He's blackballed, and aren't there some licensing issues he would have to deal with?

Chris, I am not sure there is anything the Court can do (at least for the long term) to prevent him from owning horses, but I doubt highly that he will ever be able to obtain a license in New York to race horses again. The judge could Order as a condition of probation (if he receives probation, but then he could not get more than 60 days in jail, possibly 120 days if it is permissible to run consecutively which I have never seen before) and it would only be 3 years probation (maybe 6 years, again never seen misdemeanor probation run consecutively before). It is possible that an Order of Protection can be issued for 6 year period, but not sure that a judge can consitutionally Order him to stay away from all horses.
