I think there will be trainers that are prepping to win a cheap Stallion career for a horse by winning a Grade 1 in the Bluegrass or Santa Anita derby.
Then there will be trainers prepping to win the Ky derby.

The days of the same horse winning the Bluegrass and the Ky derby are over.
Of course, the folks at the Fair Grounds, Oaklawn, and NYRA are not complaining.

I think Gulfstream is making a big mistake by moving the Fla derby back a week.
It's like Todd Pletcher said '2 out of the past 4 derby winners have come out of the Florida Derby, why change something that is working great.'
