People are REALLY overrating the BCC field this past year.
It was filled with top flight horses--for dirt. And it had another top flight horse--for grass. But for plastic? No one can reasonably say it was a great field for that surface. I think think this vote was in some part a vote against plastic campaigns. Zenyatta is a great horse, but Moss has no one but himself to blame for staging an all plastic campaign in 2009. If he had won one major race on dirt, he might have had a different result, IMO. |
