Why? The Chargers were supposed to be the best team in the AFC. Now the Colts are because we beat San Diego? There's no reason we can't beat Indy after today. Eventually the Jets are going to have to get some respect.

if the Colts have a kicker, it could be a bloodbath!

That win today should earn them the respect that they deserve. They really did a tremendous job, especially in the second half. It was important that they kept the deficit to only a TD. Also in the second half they really kept themselves out of the third and long situations it seemed like they were battling in the first half. And the defense made some plays when they had to.
Also it doesn't hurt to a few breaks (Kadeding crapping the bed).
I didn't think the Jets could win this game scoring only 17 points, I thought they would need around 21-24 to have a reasonable shot. Not sure what I think they need to score next week (I'm leaning towards sticking to that 21-24 level) but it should be very interesting, they are playing with tons of confidence. Their defense could keep up with anyone (but obviously the must get pressure on Manning), it's just a matter of the offense not turning the ball over (most noteably Sanchez, who was once again pretty good today, it looks like the light is coming on at the right time) and putting some points on the board. There is no reason why they can't win that game next week.

Well that's something to take up with someone who thought that in the first place.

The Jets got some respect today. It doesn't make them anything near a likely Super Bowl winner. There is a difference. You've never respected a team you didn't think could win a championship? Never respected a horse you didn't think could win a race? The two are not related in a necessarily linear way.

I don't get it. Just tell me why you'd be shocked if we beat the Colts even though we just beat San Diego.

I would only be shocked if Stover doesn't break his leg in pre-game warmups...

The Colts could lay down again to get a better draft pick

I'm not a Colts fan (Eagles) but I love watching Manning play. This should be a real good matchup with the Colts offense against the Jets defense.

Most of you know - Colts fan I am. With that said I am tickled pink for the Jets and there fans (Ateam). What a great game this should be and no I would not be shocked if the Jets beat my team. They have a GREAT defense and can run the ball.

Congrats to the Jets and bring on a great day of football this Sunday.

Because I think the Colts are better than San Diego.

So much so that it would shock you if we won? Did you think this before this weekend?

If you proposed a Jets-Colts AFC Championship matchup last week, I'd have told you that I'd be shocked if the Jets won.

Perhaps after this weekend, the degree of shock will be much less, but the word for it will still be shock if it happens.

Fair enough. We'll see what happens. As with every game since the Falcons loss, I have no expectations, just hopes.
