They tightened the ship since the lousy start to the season. Plus they allowed a total average of 228 yds per game in that span. That's better than the Jets 247 yds per game in the same span.

As for your first point, that's what every team says they're going to do. The Bengals tried to do it. Sanchez still only had to throw 15 passes. It's not that easy.
