I wonder when we see him next? Gary is taking him to Gulfstream but I dont think a specific race has been planned. Allowance race or right to the FOY? Derby Fever is contagious and I think Gary has it! Best of luck to him. It would be a great story.

And completely under wraps. This horse is freaky good. Surprised there isnt more buzz on this guy. Note the amount of different owners. This was a monster in the making.

Contessa has had a few horses run a big INNER number and then come down to earth. That doesn't mean this horse isnt the real deal, he might be, do you remember the last Forest Camp to be SO good? I don't.. Again he might be all that but I would error on the side of a Contessa horses not being "all that" once they switch to a different arena. To be fair Contessa did win a stake at GP on a horse I completely wrongfully tossed.

Who was that ridiculous juice job he sold off a big Inner win that we never heard from again?

Do you mean the 2006 HOTY candidate, Mayan King?

His major goal is the Whitney at Saratoga ... but Gary Contessa doesn't want to rush him by pushing him into the Suburban at Belmont ... so the Cornhusker will be his prep for the Whitney ... then ultimately the BC Classic.

In his last start ... Mayan King ran a mile at Belmont in the same time that Silver Train ran the Met Mile the following day.

Anyone in the Midwest should definitely plan to be there ... you'll see a real racehorse whose name will be on everyone's lips this Fall ... and you'll be able to bet on as dead-sure a certainty as there is in horse racing.

Now if someone will just explain to me what a cornhusk is ...
