I'm hoping it goes off on Saturday as well. We would look to make our first trip in to see Lloyd's debut and it would be our first trip as part of the DT team.

The draw is Wednesday. Both Saturday MDN races are claiming, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed no one wants him, except us .

I believe the 2nd race is a straight maiden for 3yos going 6f.

There are 3 different open maiden races listed for Saturday.

There is a straight MSW in the Condition Book as well as the $60,000/$50,000 MDN CLM race listed as a substitute race. The $35,000 MDN CLM is an 'Extra Race' on the Overnights... The 'Extra Race' is there because it wasn't used for the Thursday card.

It will all depend on how many they get for which race... That's how racing offices massage various races in the Condition Book and on the Overnights and mold them into raceday cards.

Is the MSW an option or is Gary looking for a maiden claiming for the debut?

My husband and I were there to see him practically every day when he was in Saratoga. What a sweet clown. Unfortuntely, we won't be able to see his maiden race at the Big A (we'll watch on tv) because we're down in southern Virginia until June when we return to Saratoga for the summer.

Those of you who will there on Saturday, bundle up and give Lloydobler a kiss from us when you're standing in the winner's circle.

He certainly is a sweet clown.

I only got to see him twice in Saratoga (had to wait for him to ship in). But I got to visit him everyday on my earlier visit to Louisville (when we were calling him Harold Carmichael). He was playful when I would pet him, eventually trying to nip me. He would also place his chin (if that is the correct horse anatomy term) on my shoulder and try to push me down. I would resist and we would have our little strength competition.

I will also miss the race on the 9th. Safe travels to all, especially Harold... I mean, Lloydobler.
