If I recall correctly there are a couple of hotels on the same road as the track - nothing fancy. I think there is a Holiday Inn and I believe it is technically in Bensalem, not Philly (as is the track)

You are correct.....the name of the road is Streets Road and on hotel.com the Holiday Inn was going for $66. a night.

There are other choices including Marriot, Red Roof, Knights Inn all pretty much in walking distance.

Tom,

Be aware that if you stay up towards Bensalem, there is little to do. Depending on what time you arrive in the area, you may prefer staying in Center City to be able to enjoy Philly that afternoon, evening and Sunday morning.

If you like to shop (and god knows my "better half" likes too ) or if you have some late X-mas shopping to do.......Franklin Mills Outlet Center is less than ten minutes from the track. This trip is "two-fold" for me; see KNS race in person & Karen to hit up the outlets on Saturday!

As Steve said there isn't much but strip malls and chain restuarants near the track. There is a classic Philly sports bar named Chickie & Pete's which reportedly has descent food over on Roosevelt Blvd. about 10 minutes away. This would be a good place to watch the late NFL games and partake in an adult beverage or two if that interests anyone.

Pmac,
There are all your typical chains (outback, hooters, Friday's etc.) in the area. There is a Philly sub chain called Lees Hoagie House that is kind of dingy but has great sandwiches. It is on Streets Road a mile or so past the track. http://www.leeshoagiehouse.com/
