Warning to all. Dont underestimate Texas. They are much better than they looked last night. Nebraska's defense played out of its mind.

yes they did

but

now they are going against an sec monster , the sec is the best confernce in CFB it has been the last decade or so

the last 3 teams from the sec have all won the bcs title game

florida and lsu hammered osu from the big 10

last year florida beat ou from the big 12

florida had won 22 games in a row , bama beat them

the big 12 you could argue was the worst of the bcs confernces this year

once bradford went down OU was done

how can texas possibly win this game , i didn't think bama had a big time qb , but after yesterday and the carving up of the best defense in the country , they can beat you with the run and the pass

texas cannot run the ball right now, how can they effectivly just throw throw throw against the tide and expect good things to happen?

LOL You crack me up. You always do on pretty much any topic that you decide to type on.

The conference won't be playing January 8, The tide and the longhorns will. The idea that this is some kind of forgone conclusion is about as ridiculous as some of the other nonsense that you have posted on this thread. I guess Saban learned how to coach in your mind in the last week? I guess after you bashed Bama's QB all week, suddenly he is Joe Namath?

Texas has one of the best defenses in the country and the best run defense in the country. They have an excellent QB and a coach that knows how to get it done in big games.

This will be a great matchup. I am sure even your most ardent Tide supporters would agree.

not really , look at ddtide 1st post in this thread - basically said fla/bama was for the natl championship

coach feels the same way , this was for all the marbles

and if you look at the lasr 3 yrs it's been all sec , expect for last year's games they really have dominated

alabama will let the whole sec down if they can't finish the job against texas and the big 12

my question to the bama fans would be is vegas just giving away $$$ here with the tide opening as 2.5 favs , i mean texas has no shot in this game right coach and ddtide?

This conference thing is very funny to me. Why would a fan/grad/student of Auburn cheer for Alabama simply because they are in the same conference?

No disrespect to Coach or ddtide but of course they think the SEC championship was the real title game. EVERY FAN OF AN SEC SCHOOL DOES. At the same time, if either of them think Texas will be a walk in the park, I will be surprised.

My question to you is when do you think Saban figured out how to coach? When do you think he learned how to defend the spread? Can he outcoach Mack Brown?

i was in orlando on ny's day one year with cajungator and anti-trust
we were watching all the games and every gator fan was cheering that day for tenn , ug , and aurburn in addition to the gators ---they will all be pulling for bama to validate their confernce being the best

as for saban , kudos to him , he cleary outcoached meyer in this game

having the qb come out and throw early they clearly caught florida off guard
it was saban best game since returning from the pros

he learned to defend the spread this year , his team had no answer for it last year , both florida and utah rang 30 points on the tide defense last year , so again he definitly learned something cuse he couldn't stop it twice last year

to me saban is still the best recuriter around , when he was in the nfl he was an avg coach coaching avg players and he had an avg record , it's not like he took his team and improved it , he was smart eneough to see he is a much better college coach ---put him at alabama and he will have more talent in 9 or 10 games every year , thus he is simply going to win and win a lot

besides florida and lsu who on the tide;s schedule has more talent ?? i can't think of 1 team that has more players 1 - 52 can you??

he is at disadvantge going against mac brown in this game, the def coach on texas knows saban like a book as he was on the staff at lsu and the dolphins - bama is favored , they have the better defense , the better offense , better special teams , not the better qb .... bama shouldn't lose this game

LOL. The spread has been around for years now and yesterday wasnt the first time he faced it and shut it down. The difference between last year had very little to do with coaching and the difference this year has very little to do with coaching. Meyer is the same guy and so is Saban and neither of them gained or lost anything since last year. Alabama has a better team this year and Florida isnt quite as good. Its that simple. Alabama was up going into the fourth quarter last year but the difference in depth of talent made the difference in the fourth quarter. This year, the talent level has swung the other way. Bama finished it off going away.

You are hilarious with this coaching ****. It makes a difference, sure, but its more having to do with the program overall not in game x's and o's. At this level, when your team is 12-0 and this isnt your first time at the rodeo, you have proven you can x and o with anyone. If your team loses, its not because you got "outcoached" from a strategy standpoint. You lose because either your team is flat (highly possible because of the month layoff and the partying) or simply because the other team has a physical advantage of size, speed or skill.

If Bama loses it certainly won't be because Saban got outcoached because one of his old assistants is on the other side.

Saban was a horrible NFL coach, completely overmatched. He is a very good college coach.
