As I said, I think his dad put a lot of pressure on him to stay out of trouble. He told him not to be like these other athletes that are sleeping around and getting stories written about them in all the tabloids. At the time, Tiger really did need to be very careful. He was building up his image and his reputation and he was getting all of those endorsement deals. He was really forced to grow up very early.

Since when does getting laid in college equate to being in trouble? Isnt that why most of us go away to college in the first place?

He had a girlfriend in college. He was happy with her. Why would he have been sleeping around when he had a girlfriend? It's not as if people plan these things. It's not like he knew everything that was going to happen in his life. It's not like he knew he was going to be one of the biggest celebrities in the world. It's not as if he should have been thinking, "I better sleep around alot now because I'm going to get married when I'm in my 20s and then I'll get bored years later." He didn't know exactly how his life was going to play out.

I think that's a pretty accurate statement. So much of the game is about metal toughness and focus. Pretty tough consentrating on sinking a 13 foot putt with visions of being gangbanged by a flock of strippers, co-eds, etc......That's most of the reason I suck. Unfortunately I'm thinking about if I forgot to take the garbage cans out and or drop off the dry cleaning and the s.hit I will have to take if that indeed is the case.

Also the squeaky clean image help him land all those mega deals. So I do agree that his father kept him and that straight and narrow path.
