I don't understand why some people are so freaked out about some of the terrorists being tried in civilian court in NY, especially when they have already plead guilty. It's what was done in the first Trade Center terrorist attack.

And it is a myth about jail time if you have no insurance. Technically you could go to jail if you don't pay the tax for not having health insurance. But since only 100 cases are brought to trial each year, that isn't likely to happen. Unless the government starts getting aggressive and goes after these people. But that won't happen because the government cares about our rights.

Those people were captured in the US and held under standard civilian control. These rats were captured in a foreign country and were not under civilian control. Therefore some enterprising, scumbag laywer will do his damndest to get them off on a technicality or procedural error. Or they may take the tactic from that first trial and expose classified information to the public to try to pressure the prosecutors. These scumbags arent Americans, were not caught here and do not deserve the rights reserved for US citizens.

Not to mention the massive traffic and safety issues associated with transporting and holding this vile scum in a place like Manhattan.

I am not sure why the USA is supposed to give a damn about the rest of the worlds views of how we deal with terrorists. Surely the Russians or Chinese would not complain.

Because they arent citizens.....they should be tried in a military court , they should not be given the same rights as say a regular killer. Just because it all happened at two buildings doesnt make it any diffirent than when The Japs bombed Pearl Harbor. What we should have done and our mistake was to not just drop some bombs in Saudi Arabia , Iran, Iraq , Afghanistan, Pakistan and any other sand flea infested country that had anything to do with it .

Here's the thing , they have made it their mission to destroy what you want afforded to them . The mission was to kill as many Americans as they could , destroy our way of life (which includes the liberty of having civilian court) , to disrupt our government and create chaos.
They have and did call this war against the infidels , they chose to be at war with us so in my thinking they are war criminals and they need to be tried in a military court not afforded the same rights as everyone else. They dont believe in our system of government or the way we live as Americans so why should we treat them that way . They are going to be martrys no matter what.

according to geneva convention rules, they are being held appropriately from what i've read. geneva does not grant foreign soldiers civilian trials.

This country should of taken of the above countries long time ago. Maybe there would less terrorists roaming around the world. Just maybe 9-11 would not of happened. I would go back on active duty if I was able to go on a ship that is bombing one of those wannabe countries. Im thinking North Korea should be added to the list.
