If you don't mind crowds - that weekend is my favorite weekend to spend in NYC of all of the times I've been.

I'd much rather be outside at the track, but Aqueduct can get REALLY damn cold so I'd try to get in the dining room if you can. If you are outside, at least no one else is there so you can get a great spot on the rail.

Yea, I was there for the holiday last year, but only had a few days -- this year I've got something like 11 days off work so I'll be able to do a bit more and figured a trip to Aqueduct was in order since I'd never been and there will be some quality racing.

Though it will be tough to top the tourist heaven of the Charmin public restroom from last year in Times Square

I'll probably be there. I usually sit in the Man O'War room if I'm not down on the rail taking pictures.
