How about two runaway winners of the Illinois Derby.....
Greeley's Galaxy and Sweetnorthernsaint. I also don't remember much happening with Imperialism after his good third in the slop in the Derby. And I hate to say it, because he was one of my favorites, but Officer might have to be thrown into this mix. It's hard to call a horse a failure that starts 9 times with 6 wins, a second, and a third, and over 800K in earnings. But given what he looked like in his wins, that he didn't train on was truly a disappointment.

Remember how hyped Dynever was coming out of GP as a 3yo? That MoFo may go down as one of the great hangers of all-time. 0-for-9 lifetime record in Gr 1 and Gr 2 stakes. Did manage a 2nd in the Dubai World Cup and a 3rd in the Breeders Cup Classic ... but some of his defeats in lesser races were the stuff of legend. Same sire as Perfect Drift ... but PD was like a lion hearted finisher compared to him I think.
