While they surely wanted to limit Peterson, dont forget he tweaked his leg on the fumble play and did not play nearly as much afterwards. Their offensive line is offensive.
I agree with everything that you are saying here. At the end of the day, a secondary is only as good as a pass rush allows it to be. They have 5 sacks so far and thats not a deceiving stat like in the case of the Jets where they are constantly putting pressure on the QB but just not getting there. Favre had all day to throw it and would have easily thrown for 300 yards if they werent up by two touchdowns in the third quarter.

Green Bay has plenty of room for upside. The 3-4, especially capers's version, is complicated and it is a giant shift from previous years. So far they have stunk though and they stunk last night.

Yeah, Baltimore's kicker had nothing to do with it.

The guy makes the field goal and it is a loss!!! It has everything to do with the crappy Baltimore kicker.

If Brett doesnt get them down the field the posession before, we aren't talking about any missed field goals. He can't play defense.

When baltimore took the lead, I thought the game was over. Favre got them back down the field for the winning score. Give credit where it is due.

He may very well play like crap for the rest of the year but the last two games he has played very well and so far this season he has played like an upper echelon QB. Is that not an accurate assessment?

Favre has played very well but not quite in the range of upper echelon QB. He's not the QB he used to be but for once in his life he seems to have realized that and he's not making the stupid throws that are so characteristic of Favre. With Peterson and a good offensive line, solid QB play with minimal mistakes is all the Vikings need. I haven't seen anything to think that he's doing anything that say, a healthy Chad Pennington couldn't do. Let's see how the next two games go, he has to go on the road to play two solid teams. So far the Vikes have only beat up on crappy teams (crappy might be an understatement) on the road. If he shows up the next two weeks, wins them both, and plays well then he absolutely deserves props. Until then he isn't doing anything more than 15 other NFL QBs could do in the same situation. But more than likely, they lose them both and are tied with the Pack atop the NFC North.
