When I was looking for information on Pappys Double H, who lost his life today in the last race at Belmont, I found this...

Pappy's Double H was named in honor of Charles R. Wood by his daughter Charlene. Charlie Wood was co-founder with Paul Newman of the Double H Ranch a Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for critically ill children.

Newman began pondering other ways to help these children. In 1986, he had an inspiration: why not build a place for kids who are too sick to go to ordinary camps? He'd name it The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp for the ragtag bandits from his film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

I'm only postiong this cause if I don't know who the horse was I'll at least look for something, even if its just their age, if i have the time. I found more this time so there it is.

I'm sorry for his connections as I am for all of them.

Rest in pace, Pappy.
