This is a home run for the eagles. You have a back up quarterback that could start for a number of teams in the league. Not only that, unlike most backups, he won't just hold a clipboard. You can actually devise ways to use him in specialty situations and not just the wildcat. Remember the way the steelers used kordell? Vick throws and runs better than kordell and I remember slash being highly effective.

For 1.6 million and an option at 5.2 million? There will be a number of teams that will be sorry they didnt take the chance.
Yup

I think its a good thing the Beagles took Vick... Just think when they get ready to come out of the Tunnel (the music blasts)...""Who let the Dogs out "" !!!!!

Btw..the frontpage headline in the Philly Daily news..was something like
""hey philly, hide your dogs ""

First, I didn't know that people in Philadelphia could READ. Second, looks like love-hate relationship is starting on "hate". Third, $1.6 million for player who might play in 10 games. Guess McNabb should start looking over his shoulder. Fourth, Vick was dome quarterback in NFC South. Nine indoor games every year made him look better than he was. Last, can I get a copy of this to wrap my fish in?

does anyone know if the $1.6 million figure is for 16 games or 10 if the suspension goes that long?

i assume that's a salary for the full year in which case the iggles might actually only pay $1 million for the games he's available.

i'm no expert on nfl contracts but i'm pretty sure suspensions mean no payment for games missed. anyone know?

was always my understanding that suspension meant no pay, like with stallworth.
