Sindbad the Sailor raced in the Saratoga MSW that was won by Macho Uno. Not sure why I recall that, but there you are.
I love old Spooky and in his day Arromanches. There are alot of old timers in KY that just seem to keep on going forever.

Boom Towner.
Diligent Gambler and Arromanches were both awesome too. Hard knockers, game old campaigners. Federal Funds, Jacksonport, Lottsa Talc, Moonopoly. Back when horses actually ran enough to instill a reason to love and follow. |

There was an old boy who used to show up at Charles Town all the time by the name of Longfield Spud. Mostly ran in low level stuff, but always had guts and would even make the occasional WV-bred stakes appearance.

There was a claimer that used to run in socal named Abergwaun Lad. He was a fast win machine that was extremely popular in the claim box.
His record was 33 starts, 16 wins, 4 seconds and 5 thirds, with his last four starts all being awful OTB performances. |
