A jock could equal 7 lengths....or rather a horse's running style could equal 7 lengths. Take War Emblem for example. Great horse if sent to the lead early. Not so much if he even sniffs a horse in front of him in the early going.
If a jock knows and caters to how a horse likes to run, that could equal 7 length or more even. Lambert probably would have made the same premature moves he made in the Sunland Derby. |
